Abstract

Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic gas and must be removed from where it is found or formed. Which of these techniques to choose is decided based on the nature of the gas. This study, it is aimed to develop a membrane that holds the gas in processes and places where gas can occur and wishes to prevent possible threats. The membrane was prepared by loading copper sulfate into the polymeric resin with mechanical mixing. The copper retained hydrogen sulfide gas in the membrane. Results show that the membrane captures 97 percent of H2S in the feed. It was observed in this study that a membrane with copper sulfate successfully carried out the removal of the hydrogen sulfide. The success of the membrane that we have obtained in capturing hydrogen sulfide encourages the membrane to be recommended to local governments
