Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the effects of different water stresses on some quality characteristics of silage sorghum in Konya ecological conditions in 2017-2018 years. The study were conducted in randomized blocks design with three replications under. In this study four different irrigation levels were applied (I1: Full irrigation, I2: 75 % of I1, I3: 50 % of I1 and I4: 25 % of I1). According to the results of the first year (2017), the crude protein ratio (CP) varied between 8.0% (I4)- 10.1 (I1), acid detergent fibre (ADF) between 32.0 % (I4)-35.6 (I1), neutral detergent fibre (NDF) between 52.4% (I4)-57.7 (I1), ash content (Ash) between 6.9% (I4)-7.6 (I2), % digestible dry matter (DDM) between 61.2% (I1)- 64.0% (I4), % dry matter intake (DMI) between 2.1 (I1)- 2.3 (I4), relative feed value (RFV) between 92.1% (I1)-106.6 (I3) and cellulose ratio (CR) was 25.0% (I4)-27.2 (I1). In the second year, CP varied between 7.9% (I4)-9.9% (I1), ADF between 32.5% (I4)-35.3 (I1), NDF between 53.6% (I4)-57.1 (I1), CR between 25.3% (I4)-26.9% (I1) ash between 7.2% (I3)-7.8 (I1), DDM between 61.3% (I1)- %63.6 (I4), DMI between 2.1 (I1)- 2.2 (I3) and RFV between 90.3% (I1)-104.8 (I4).
